resources for entrepreneurs

resources for entrepreneursWe all have learned the hard way that free isn’t always free, but I think you’ll find that the courses listed are completely free and some of the highest quality educational materials on entrepreneurship available.

I’d also like to insert a caveat that online sources often change their offerings and what may have been free as of this writing (summer of 2016) quality, quantity and prices can change without notice! Eyes wide open. (let us know if you find changes we need to correct. Thanks!)

32 Lesson Plans For Young Inventors

PBS – Your Public Broadcasting Station, (NPT in some areas) is one of the best kept secret in homeschooling resources. A virtual goldmine of educational videos accompanied by teacher’s guides and lesson plans, there is something for every age and subject. Of course, our favorite is all their entrepreneurial offerings! Go to >> PBS.com/entrepreneur

SBA-The Small Business Association

The SBA Learning Center for Entrepreneurs is an excellent resource that you’ve already paid for by your federal taxes. Get your money’s worth!    >>https://www.sba.gov/tools/sba-learning-center/search/training

SBA also has a 30 minute video course geared for young entrepreneurs at: https://www.sba.gov/tools/sba-learning-center/training/young-entrepreneurs

SCORE

Another great resource you’ve already paid for with your taxes is SCORE – a mentoring resource for new or seasoned entrepreneurs  that is suprisingly little known in the entrepreneur world! My entrepreneurial son was very skeptical of this resource and wondered why anyone would do it for free. He understood when I asked him if he would consider doing something like this for others when he decided to retire….”Heck, yeh!”

You tell them your business needs in return you will receive suggestions of prescreened mentors that will help you in person or via email, no strings attached! There are also workshops available as well as a library of very helpful information on their website. Check it out at: https://www.score.org/

You’ll find a wealth of resources like games, lesson plans and educational video clips teaching business and money in ways kids relate to! Go directly to the student resources here>>
