High School on the Entrepreneur Track

High School Major: Entrepreneurship

For subject by subject suggestions for meeting your graduation requirements for high school, see our list in the right panel.

We used Aaron Academy’s required subject list for high school as a point of reference since that is who we have used since they opened their doors-highly recommended! Aaron Academy is a great example of a home school family that saw a need and met it with business skills and integrity. They are the best at what they do, and God blessed them with success   as a result!

Doing what you love

When you design your homeschool curriculum, there are always electives available that can be filled with subjects that encourage a student’s interests and/or skills. Filling those electives with subjects that help define and develop a child’s strengths and interests is a no-brainer. If your child is always starting little businesses like lemonade stands, you probably already know he has the entrepreneur bug.

What if I don’t know if my child has an ‘Entrepreneurial Mind’?

There are kids that make it very obvious they are bound for their own business someday, but very often it is a talent that lies dormant for a lifetime-only because no one gave them opportunity to experiment and learn  in a safe arena.

A business class as part of their high school can serve as a credit towards graduation, as well as open doors to new interests your child didn’t even know they had!

Make Entrepreneur Ed a Required Subject

Many kids go kicking and screaming to their first music lesson only to discover it’s the love of their life. Knowing how to start a business can be applied to ANY vocation, and may not be their major, but then again, it may be!

NOW is the best time ....

As an adult, you have the responsibilities and pressures of house payments, medical bills and other dream stealers that even if you did want to start a business, you probably don’t think you can afford the money or time to try.

That’s why homeschooling is so amazing, because you can give your child learning opportunities you might not have been able to otherwise!

Whether it’s one class or an entire high school major, entrepreneurial skills will always be useful. A home business is something they can do-and even make some money in the process!

Give them skills for LIFE!

You will be giving them skills they can rely on the rest of their life, and a new confidence in themselves they never knew they had!

And who knows? Many high school entrepreneurs have earned full scholarships and/or paid for all their college expenses with their earnings!

High School is preparation for LIFE.

Having an entrepreneur education early helps define life goals and can give clearer direction for college if chosen. 75% of high school students polled said they would like to have a business someday, but most of them had no idea how to get started! Equipping them now is easy.
