Investopedia

How would you like to have $100,000 to play the stock market?

Want to see how you would do if you had $100,000 to invest in the stock market, but don’t want to lose any money? That’s what Investopedia’s  Stock Simulator lets you do, using real stats from Wall Street.

It’s a tremendous teaching tool, with graphs and information on the stocks you buy and more. Can be used by beginners, but offers challenges for the advanced. It’s free to use, with no catches, aside from some emails they may send you rather frequently. It’s a free service, so they hope to sell you something along the way, but there is no obligation.

Along with the stock simulator, they offer tutorials, an investor’s dictionary, exam prep, and various calculators. You can also sign up for their free newsletter, free reports and an incredible assortment of tools for the investor (or investor wanna-be).

One of my teenage sons liked it so much he entered college with a finance/marketing major. He had never shown much interest in economics or the stock market before he played Investopedia, but really found he not only liked it, but had a real knack for it. So much so, he was invited to an “elite” trading group in the Investopedia Community! Too bad he wasn’t making the profit with REAL money!
